A building-products brief can become unmanageably broad before a buyer reaches China. Custom cabinetry, architectural glass, facade profiles, insulation, tiles, sanitary ware, awnings and industrial doors may all appear in one project specification, yet they belong to different manufacturing bases and are selected through different technical and commercial channels. A broad decoration fair can help assemble a package; a specialist event is usually better when the system itself must be engineered.
For a broad installed-interior package, compare CBD Fair Guangzhou with Beijing’s China Home Furnishing Expo. For an engineered envelope, narrow the choice to windows and facades, insulation, or moving and shading systems. Surface and bathroom purchases need another distinction: stone fabrication, ceramic products and production, or complete kitchen and bathroom ranges. The specialist comparisons below follow those purchasing responsibilities.
This guide covers upcoming exhibitions from October 2026 to July 2027, with September’s completed CBD-IBCTF Shanghai retained as a reference. It focuses on installed building products and their systems. Loose furniture, hotel operations, general construction machinery and building MEP remain outside its scope.

Most dates are separate travel decisions. The exception within this selection is the late-May overlap between R+T Asia and Kitchen & Bath China: both are in Shanghai, but R+T uses the Hongqiao venue and KBC uses Pudong. Cerambath also needs venue-level planning because its Foshan programme spans three sites.
Set the system boundary before choosing a city
Four variables determine whether a broad fair or a specialist event will produce the better shortlist:
- Work package: a multi-category interior range belongs at a decoration platform; a facade, insulation, ceramics-production or powered-access brief needs specialist depth.
- Supplier responsibility: identify who owns design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and warranty. A displayed “whole-home solution” may combine several legal entities.
- Evidence level: decide whether the buyer needs product samples, complete-system test evidence, process capability or installed-project references.
- Region and decision date: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Foshan provide different supplier bases and channel conversations, and the calendar gap between two suitable fairs may be more important than their relative size.
These variables keep broad platforms useful without treating every product on a stand as one engineered system. A compliant component does not make a complete window or insulation assembly compliant unless the tested configuration and interfaces match the project.
Broad decoration route: Shanghai, Beijing or Guangzhou
The completed CBD-IBCTF Shanghai 2026 ran on 5–8 September alongside CIFF Shanghai in Hongqiao. Its premium customisation, fixed cabinetry, surfaces and system doors and windows remain useful context for supplier follow-up. The shared 2026 furniture-and-decoration trip has passed; the next choices in this guide are Beijing in February and Guangzhou in July.
China Home Furnishing Expo for northern channels in spring
China Home Furnishing Expo runs in Beijing from 25 to 27 February. The organiser has integrated the former BUILD+DECOR, customised-home and soft-furnishing exhibition resources into a platform covering custom interiors, walls and ceilings, doors and windows, kitchens and bathrooms, surfaces, lighting, smart-home products and manufacturing technology.
This is the relevant spring route for companies serving northern China or assembling a multi-category interior offer. Separate the consumer brand, manufacturer, distributor, design or software partner and installer, especially when a domestic retail package must be adapted for export documentation, packing and after-sales support.
CBD Fair Guangzhou for the widest national benchmark
The 29th CBD Fair Guangzhou takes place from 8 to 11 July at the Canton Fair Complex. The organiser groups the event into INTERIOR for design, finishes and integrated living; EXTERIOR for doors, windows, facades and outdoor systems; and MATECH for materials, hardware and advanced manufacturing.
That breadth suits distributors building several categories, contractors coordinating installed packages and manufacturers comparing components or production technology. Give the visit no more than two defined workstreams. When thermal, structural, air-water or fire performance controls the purchase, use the specialist evidence available at FBC, Windoor, TIM or R+T rather than asking the broad platform to answer the entire engineering brief.
Performance-led envelope route: insulation, facades or moving systems
TIM Expo for the insulation layer
TIM Expo runs from 9 to 11 December at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The 23rd Asia Thermal Insulation Material Expo covers insulation materials, pipe insulation, integrated envelope products, membranes, fixings, installation equipment and testing.
Choose it when insulation is a distinct purchasing workstream. Compare proposals against the intended assembly, service environment, fire and moisture requirements, fixing method and test basis. For a complete glazed facade or window system, FBC and Windoor bring insulation into the wider assembly discussion.
FBC and Windoor for windows and facade systems
FBC offers an autumn window on 28–30 October at China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi), Beijing. Its window, door and curtain-wall focus suits buyers comparing the complete assembly and its installation interfaces. Choose between FBC and March’s Windoor using the project decision date and the system suppliers available for meetings; Beijing and Guangzhou are separate sourcing trips. The FBC combined-trip guide examines the adjacent roofing and waterproofing workstream when that is part of the same project.
The 33rd China Windoor Facade Expo runs from 11 to 13 March at Poly World Trade Center in Guangzhou. Its sectors connect window, door and facade systems with architectural glass, profiles and panels, hardware, sealants, insulation interfaces, fabrication equipment, smart systems and facade-related energy solutions.
Both fairs serve window, curtain-wall and facade briefs. Bring the opening configuration, module sizes, principal performance targets and destination test standards, then establish whether the supplier owns system design, fabrication, component selection, testing and site support. Windoor’s Pearl River Delta location also supports targeted follow-up with a system company, fabricator or critical-component supplier when each visit answers a different responsibility.
R+T Asia for shading, doors and drives
R+T Asia runs from 26 to 28 May at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Its specialist chain covers blinds, awnings, pergolas, shutters, textiles, profiles, drives and controls, as well as industrial and garage doors, gates, operators, safety devices and production machinery.
The event earns a separate trip when these products have their own specification and decision-maker. Manufacturers and distributors can connect finished systems to components and fabrication equipment; project teams can compare operation, safety logic, building interfaces and maintenance access. A full-size moving sample supports inspection, but endurance, weather performance and compliance still require documents that match the proposed configuration.
The R+T Asia shading and door-system sourcing guide provides the detailed route for specifications, system responsibility and supplier evidence.
Stone, ceramics or a complete kitchen and bathroom range
For stone specified in cladding, flooring or worktops, Xiamen Stone Fair runs on 16–19 March at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. Its natural and engineered stone, finished products and machinery connect material selection with fabrication. Agree the finish, acceptable variation and cut-to-size requirements before comparing suppliers. A ceramic surface with a similar appearance follows a different production route; choose Foshan when ceramic products or ceramic manufacturing are the actual brief. The Xiamen–Shuitou sourcing guide covers separately arranged fabrication follow-up.
The 45th Cerambath runs from 18 to 23 October across China Ceramics City, China Ceramics and Sanitaryware Industry Headquarters, and the Huaxia venue at Foshan International Conference and Exhibition Center. Huaxia closes on 21 October; the other two venues continue through 23 October. The route combines temporary exhibition activity with permanent showrooms for tiles, slabs, sanitary ware, fittings and related surfaces.
Use Cerambath for broad finished-product comparison and showroom follow-up. Plan by product and market position rather than trying to cover every venue. Confirm the legal seller, actual production address and quality-control responsibility before treating a displayed brand as a factory-qualified source.
UNICERAMICS runs from 19 to 22 April at Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. It places finished ceramics and bathroom products beside machinery, raw materials, decoration, inspection, packaging and automation. This makes it more useful when a product requirement is also a manufacturing problem, such as controlling a surface, reducing defects or changing inspection and packing.
A finished-product meeting should lead to evidence on the body or surface process, batch control, testing and packing. A machinery meeting should instead lead to a comparable running reference, utility and line-interface review, acceptance criteria and service plan. The UNICERAMICS Foshan tile-factory sourcing route develops that product-to-process follow-up.
Cerambath and UNICERAMICS are alternatives for many buyers: the former supports an autumn showroom-led range decision, the latter a spring product-to-process investigation. Attending both earns its place when the first visit produces a different production or quality question for the second.
Kitchen & Bath China, on 26–29 May at Shanghai New International Expo Centre, is the more focused comparison when the order centres on kitchens, sanitary ware, taps and bathroom fittings rather than surface materials. Use it to assemble compatible product ranges and clarify installation and after-sales responsibilities. Cerambath and UNICERAMICS also cover bathroom products; KBC becomes worth choosing when kitchen and bathroom suppliers form the main purchasing brief, not a minor addition to a tile order. If flooring belongs in the same fit-out package, the KBC and DOMOTEX comparison examines that additional supplier search.
Combine fairs only when the work packages remain distinct
KBC and R+T overlap on 26–28 May, so a team buying both bathroom fit-out products and shading or door systems can divide its Shanghai time between them. Allow for the Pudong–Hongqiao transfer and book around distinct supplier lists.
The specialist events also support factory follow-up, but the visit should test an unresolved claim or a different stage of responsibility. Repeating the same showroom or fabrication step at several companies produces less useful evidence than comparing the system owner, manufacturer and critical-component source.
Turn samples into comparable project evidence
Before travel, divide the project into installed systems and name the owner of every interface. Freeze one reference configuration with the principal dimensions, environment, destination standard, finish, volume, packing, installation model and warranty responsibility so that quotations describe the same product.
At the exhibition, distinguish a visual sample from a component, a tested system and a completed-project reference. Record the proposed manufacturer and actual plant, and check that technical evidence covers the offered configuration. The useful output is a shortlist by work package, supported by agreed samples, drawings or schedules, proposal exclusions and follow-up visits chosen to resolve specific questions.
