China Fashion, Apparel, Hosiery & Footwear Trade Shows 2026–2027

Compare China trade shows for fashion brands, apparel supply chains, intimate and activewear development, hosiery, accessories and finished footwear.

A fashion buyer can travel to China to discover a label, build a private-label collection, source finished socks, develop lingerie materials or compare ready-to-order footwear. Those missions sit in the same consumer market, yet they require different exhibitors and conversations. A runway-led brand event and a factory-oriented garment supply fair should not be judged by the same number of product samples.

For an overseas company developing apparel with Chinese suppliers, Fashion Source Shenzhen is the broadest supply-chain starting point in this guide. CENTRESTAGE is more useful for finding and positioning fashion brands, meeting designers and discussing distribution. Interfilière Shanghai concentrates on materials, components, design and technology for intimate apparel, swimwear and activewear. CHPE and HSGE create a focused same-venue route for socks and fashion accessories, while Shanghai International Shoe Expo provides the clearest finished-footwear destination in this selection.

The six fairs correspond to five practical trips between September 2026 and June 2027. CHPE and HSGE share dates and venue in March. Their product areas are complementary, so a retailer or distributor can use one Shanghai visit to build both hosiery and accessory assortments; a specialist sock buyer can remain focused on CHPE.

Start with what the buyer expects to take home

The same word—fashion—can describe a commercial brand, a product-development project or a repeatable factory programme. The expected result provides the clearest route.

CENTRESTAGE: begin with the brand proposition

CENTRESTAGE is organised around fashion brands and designers rather than a complete manufacturing chain. HKTDC’s fair format combines thematic brand zones, fashion presentations and buyer contact. This makes it relevant to department stores, boutiques, e-commerce retailers, distributors and partners assessing whether a collection has a clear market position.

The conversation should go beyond individual garments. A buyer needs to understand the target consumer, collection architecture, wholesale range, recommended retail position, delivery calendar, territory, exclusivity and marketing support. Design quality matters, but so does the brand’s ability to supply repeat orders and maintain a coherent range.

CENTRESTAGE is less direct for a company that already owns the design and needs factories to execute a technical pack. That project fits Fashion Source more naturally. The difference is practical: one trip begins with “Which brand belongs in our market?” and the other with “Which supply partner can develop and produce our range?”

Fashion Source: connect product development with apparel supply

Fashion Source Shenzhen spans yarns, fabrics, trims, knitwear, silk, menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, fashion manufacturing and brands. Its accompanying original-design fashion week and business-matching activity add a market-facing layer, but the fair’s distinctive value is the ability to move between materials, product development and garment supply in one venue.

That breadth suits private-label brands, retailers and apparel companies whose brief is more developed than simple spot buying. A team can compare fabric choices, identify a knitwear or outerwear supplier, discuss sampling, and see how design and production services connect. It also means the buyer needs a clear category plan. Sweaters, denim, childrenswear and performance clothing require different equipment, material knowledge and quality controls even when an exhibitor describes itself as a full-service manufacturer.

Supplier identity deserves particular attention. Ask which entity will quote and contract, where development takes place, where bulk production is made, which processes are in-house and which are subcontracted. The objective is a workable product-and-production route, not a collection of visually similar samples from unrelated supply structures.

Interfilière Shanghai: specialist product development before finished-garment buying

Interfilière Shanghai is the most specialised event in this guide. Its official 2026 positioning centres on materials, design, technology and market demand for intimate and active fashion. Fabrics, lace, embroidery, elastics, accessories and specialist manufacturing decisions sit closer to product engineering than to general apparel wholesale.

The fair earns a place here because lingerie, swimwear and activewear brands often choose material and construction partners as part of one development process. Stretch recovery, support, seam behaviour, skin contact, opacity, chlorine or salt-water exposure, moisture management and component compatibility can determine whether a concept reaches production.

A buyer seeking finished casualwear across many categories will find Fashion Source broader. Interfilière becomes the stronger option when the brief already defines a close-to-body product and the team needs suppliers who understand fit, performance and specialist assembly. Bring reference samples, target measurements, material requirements and the intended test regime; visual inspiration alone will not separate production-ready solutions from interesting concepts.

CHPE and HSGE: one March trip, two focused assortments

CHPE and HSGE & Fashion Accessories Shanghai run together at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from 22 to 24 March 2027. The organiser presents them within a wider fashion-accessories platform, with visitor access and category resources connected across the halls.

CHPE is the specialist route for socks, tights and hosiery supply. The product may look simple, but commercial programmes vary by yarn, gauge, knitting structure, toe linking, compression or cushioning, size grading, finishing and packaging. Teams buying performance, medical-positioned or children’s products need clearly defined claims and test requirements rather than relying on category labels.

HSGE extends the trip into hats, headwear, scarves, shawls, gloves, sun-protection products and related accessories. Its value is strongest for retailers, distributors and brands building coordinated seasonal ranges. The buying sheet should separate fashion items from products that claim thermal, UV, protective or other measurable functions.

The combination is efficient for an accessories team with two genuine workstreams. A hosiery manufacturer sourcing production machinery may remain at CHPE, while a lifestyle retailer can divide meetings between socks and complementary categories. Sharing a badge and venue does not make every hall equally relevant.

Shanghai International Shoe Expo: finished footwear with a view into the supply chain

The Shanghai International Shoe Expo presents itself as a finished-shoe fair and covers men’s, women’s, casual and home footwear, alongside shoe materials and intelligent equipment. That mix makes it useful for wholesalers, retailers, brands and importers who need to begin with a marketable shoe but still understand how the product can be developed or produced.

Footwear comparison should move from appearance to construction. Record the last, upper material, lining, insole, outsole compound and attachment method; confirm the size range and grading basis; and ask what tooling is new, shared or buyer-owned. Flexing, slip resistance, bond strength, abrasion, colour fastness and restricted-substance requirements depend on product type and destination market.

The shoe expo is not the best machinery benchmark for a factory planning a complete production-line investment. The Wenzhou leather and shoe-technology fair and the Dongguan DFM/DTC platform belong in the separate production-technology guide. Here the priority is a finished-footwear programme and the supplier’s ability to reproduce it reliably.

How the five travel windows fit a buying calendar

  • 2–5 September 2026, Hong Kong: brand discovery, collection presentation and distribution discussions at CENTRESTAGE.
  • 13–14 October 2026, Shanghai: focused development for lingerie, swimwear and activewear at Interfilière.
  • 21–23 October 2026, Shenzhen: broad apparel supply-chain and private-label development at Fashion Source.
  • 22–24 March 2027, Shanghai: one venue for hosiery and complementary fashion accessories through CHPE and HSGE.
  • 10–12 June 2027, Shanghai: finished-footwear sourcing and product-development conversations at Shanghai International Shoe Expo.

CENTRESTAGE, Interfilière and Fashion Source occur within seven weeks, but they do not form an automatic three-city itinerary. A brand buyer, an intimate-apparel developer and a private-label sourcing team have different objectives. Combining events makes sense when the company has named workstreams, separate shortlists and enough development capacity to follow up after the trip.

Prepare different evidence for brands, products and factories

Bring evidence suited to each relationship:

  • Brand: line sheets, wholesale and retail architecture, delivery windows, territory terms, sales history where available, marketing assets and replenishment capability.
  • OEM or ODM product: a frozen technical pack, reference sample, material requirement, size chart, workmanship standard, packaging, MOQ and target lead time.
  • Hosiery or footwear: construction-specific measurements, tooling or machine capability and named performance tests.

The exhibitor’s legal identity and production role should be clear before commercial comparison. A brand owner, trading company, design studio and factory can all be legitimate partners, but they carry different responsibilities. Knowing which relationship is being offered makes quotations and follow-up much easier to compare.
