China Auto Parts & Aftermarket Trade Shows 2026–2027: Find the Right Buying Trip

Choose among Yiwu, CAPF Jinan, CIAAR, Automechanika Shanghai and CIMP for replacement parts, workshop services, thermal systems and customisation.

A good aftermarket buying trip should help you sell the next part, complete the next repair or offer an upgrade your customers will pay for. Those goals can lead to quite different exhibition halls. An importer filling a replacement-parts catalogue needs vehicle coverage and dependable replenishment; a garage network buying diagnostic equipment needs a service package that will work after delivery. A thermal-system specialist needs time with suppliers who can discuss the whole installation.

For a trip covering both parts distribution and workshop operations, Automechanika Shanghai is the strongest starting point among the fairs below. A more concentrated brief can make another visit more productive: export assortments, China’s replacement-parts channels, vehicle cooling or customer-facing customisation each have a distinct option. Decide what you will sell, which vehicles it must serve and who will support it before choosing the travel window.

The buying windows still in play

As of 12 September 2026, the Yiwu edition is under way and ends on 14 September. The other four shows below are later opportunities, extending through March 2027. This guide focuses on parts and the aftermarket for road vehicles, including Yiwu’s motorcycle-parts offer. For complete vehicles and wider mobility technology, see the China automotive trade-show guide.

A replacement-parts range has two routes to market

Yiwu and CAPF both serve buyers assembling an aftermarket range. The useful distinction is the business around the parts: Yiwu explicitly emphasises export trade and its permanent market, while CAPF brings together China’s replacement-parts and repair trade at its Jinan edition.

Yiwu: fill the gaps in an export assortment

The Yiwu fair combines engine, braking and chassis parts with motorcycle components, vehicle-care products and modification accessories. Its current scope also includes new-energy vehicle and heavy-truck components. An importer serving several vehicle categories can therefore compare complementary product lines in one visit, while keeping a separate application list for each.

There are two useful buying conversations here. At the fair, establish which vehicle models a supplier covers and whether the offer is a standard range or customised production. At International Trade City District 5’s fourth-floor automotive section, compare accessory assortments, retail packs and repeat-order terms with the relevant shops. That market stop earns its time when a supplier shortlist has revealed specific gaps: a missing accessory line, an unsuitable pack size or an uncertain replenishment arrangement.

Timing matters immediately. The organiser schedules dismantling after 14:00 on 14 September; put essential stand meetings on 12 or 13 September. A visit planned after the exhibition can still focus on market or supplier appointments, but it will be a different trip. The Yiwu fair-and-market guide develops the two buying lists and local sequence.

CAPF Jinan: follow the parts into the repair channel

The 100th China Automobile Parts Fair brings engine, chassis, body and electrical parts together with oils, maintenance supplies, workshop equipment and tools. That combination is useful for a distributor supplying independent garages: the same customer may need a replacement component today and equipment to diagnose the next job tomorrow.

Use the October visit to understand how suppliers assemble those ranges for China’s aftermarket and to compare the vehicle applications relevant to your own customers. For an overseas order, make destination-market supply and support part of the first commercial conversation. A domestic assortment may be valuable, but the tool version, language and ongoing support need to fit the country where it will be used.

CAPF gives this channel-led brief an earlier autumn window than Automechanika. If diagnostic tools are a substantial part of the purchase, the Jinan parts-and-diagnostic-tools guide explains how a separately arranged local dealer meeting can resolve the remaining package questions. Keep the exhibition shortlist as the priority; add the appointment when the dealer can address your actual vehicles and market.

When the purchase includes the workshop

Automechanika Shanghai is especially useful when improving the parts catalogue is only half the assignment. Its official product groups also cover diagnostics and repair, body and paint, tyre service, car care, and digital workshop services. The 2026 programme includes a Green Repair Area alongside customising and mobility-technology presentations.

Imagine a distributor whose garage customers want to service newer vehicles as well as buy familiar wear parts. The component buyer can compare replacement coverage while a workshop specialist examines diagnostic equipment and the support needed to use it. Meeting both supplier groups in one show makes it easier to build an offer around the same customer base.

The useful question is what the workshop must be able to do after the purchase. Software coverage, updates and technical support matter when buying diagnostic tools; installation and training become important for new equipment. Bring someone who can assess those needs alongside the parts buyer. Automechanika’s breadth then serves a defined workshop project alongside the replenishment order.

When cooling deserves its own trip

CIAAR offers a different kind of depth. Its current programme connects automotive air-conditioning with heat pumps, battery thermal management and controls, spanning compressors, condensers and evaporators through to system integration. For a buyer whose project centres on cooling, that concentration is the reason to choose November in Shanghai.

Define the purchase before comparing exhibitors: a replacement component, a complete cabin unit or a system that also manages battery temperature. An electric-bus project, for example, brings cabin comfort and battery operation into the same supplier discussion, while leaving the vehicle team responsible for the integration decision. The CIAAR electric-bus thermal-sourcing guide takes that brief further, including a separately arranged supplier meeting.

For a general distributor adding a small cooling range, Automechanika may fit the wider order book better. Give CIAAR its own trip when thermal-system choice is a major purchasing responsibility. The two shows are complementary for that buyer, but they use different Shanghai venues and CIAAR ends on 18 November, 14 days before Automechanika opens on 2 December. Connecting them needs enough confirmed supplier work to justify an extended stay.

When customers are buying an upgrade

CIMP in March 2027 suits a business developing what customers can add to their vehicles: upgraded interiors, off-road or pickup accessories, lighting, electronics, car audio and care products. Its format connects modification and the aftermarket with vehicle technology, commercial vehicles and consumer-facing automotive culture. The official themed areas also include e-commerce and retail networks.

For an accessories distributor or installation business, that offers a useful view of the product as it will be sold and fitted. A pickup accessory may need to work with other upgrades; an electronic product may depend on the installer’s support. Bring the target vehicle models and intended sales channel so the visit develops a coherent range instead of a collection of interesting samples.

The emphasis differs from Automechanika’s workshop-and-parts comparison. CIMP becomes compelling when customisation, merchandising and installation are central to the offer. For a conventional replacement-parts order with little connection to those activities, the broader December aftermarket visit is the more direct fit.

Keep the August contacts working

Three completed editions remain useful for follow-up: APES Shanghai, 5–7 August 2026, with its source-factory emphasis; CAPAFAIR Ningbo, 12–14 August, for export-oriented parts supply; and AAG Guangzhou, 19–21 August, for South China aftermarket contacts, including commercial-vehicle parts and remanufacturing. Use those shortlists for samples, quotations and supplier appointments now. The CAPAFAIR factory-sourcing article remains useful for that follow-up; its exhibition itinerary belongs to the completed 2026 edition.
