Venue Profile
Shanghai Exhibition Center is a 1955 landmark in central Jing'an District, originally built as the Sino-Soviet Friendship Building. Its monumental central tower, symmetrical wings and formal courtyards reflect the Russian-influenced architectural style of the period. About 22,000 square metres of the 80,000-square-metre building can be used for exhibitions, with six outdoor courts providing additional event space. The historic interiors host book, art, fashion, design and public exhibitions as well as conferences and ceremonial events.
