LET 2027 and SEAI: A Combined Factory Logistics Sourcing Trip

Use Guangzhou's same-site programme to discuss the handoff from warehouse transport to a production cell, with logistics and industrial-robot suppliers.

A factory logistics project can look complete until a carrier reaches the production cell: the pallet has arrived, but someone still has to supply the receiving station, unload the parts and coordinate the next movement. For a team buying both sides of that handoff, LET 2027 in Guangzhou offers a useful same-trip extension into the industrial-robot and advanced-manufacturing areas of SEAI 2027.

LET and the wider Guangzhou International Smart Equipment and Artificial Intelligence Exhibition (SEAI) programme both run 2–4 June 2027 in Area A of the China Import and Export Fair Complex. Add the production-cell question, not another general robot tour

LET already covers logistics systems integration, factory planning, internal logistics software, AGV/AMR, warehouse equipment and conveyors. Start there for the movement of materials between storage and production. The wider programme earns extra meeting time when the purchase also includes what happens at the machine or cell receiving those materials.

SEAI’s published industrial-robot applications include systems integration for automotive, electronics and home-appliance manufacturing. Its advanced-manufacturing scope includes flexible manufacturing, industrial automation and industrial software. Those are relevant categories to investigate for the production side of the handoff. For example, an appliance manufacturer might need mobile transport to deliver a loaded carrier and a robot cell to handle the individual parts. The logistics proposal and the robot proposal need to describe the same load and receiving arrangement. That is a stronger reason to extend the visit than simply wanting to see more robots.

A warehouse-only buyer comparing racking, forklifts, picking or sortation can keep the time at LET. The same applies when an appointed integrator already covers the whole project and no production-side question remains open. LET itself may provide the necessary integration discussion; SEAI’s wider scope is an additional option, not a mandatory second stop.

Bring one material flow to both supplier groups

Prepare a simple drawing from storage release to the next production operation. Identify the carrier and its dimensions, the load and how it is presented, the receiving position, the required delivery rate and any space constraints. Show whether the carrier remains at the cell, returns empty or leaves with finished parts. These inputs help suppliers discuss the actual movement instead of quoting unrelated demonstration configurations.

At LET, ask how the proposed transport and logistics controls deliver and identify the correct load, manage waiting carriers and respond when the destination is unavailable. At the relevant SEAI meetings, ask how the receiving station and robot handle that same load, who supplies the fixtures or gripper, and what changes when the part or carrier changes. A robot’s payload rating and a transport vehicle’s load capacity answer different questions.

Then ask both sides to mark their proposed responsibilities on the drawing. Who provides the receiving station? Which system authorises a transfer, and how does the other system know that the transfer is complete? Who investigates a failed handoff and restores operation? This is a purchasing brief for the engineering discussion, not a prescribed control design. The responsible engineers must determine the system’s safety requirements and validate the proposed solution.

Before booking the wider programme, confirm that suitable 2027 exhibitors and technical staff will actually be available for these questions. Published categories and past exhibitor lists are useful leads, not meeting confirmations. If the production-side shortlist is still empty, preserve the LET appointments and arrange the missing technical discussion after the exhibition.

Use the three days to return with a shared scope

A suggested sequence is to use 2 June for LET meetings and the logistics shortlist, 3 June for selected industrial-automation meetings in the wider SEAI programme, and 4 June for return discussions with the candidates whose proposals need to fit together. Adjust those blocks around confirmed appointments; this is a buyer’s meeting plan, not the organiser’s schedule.

Both official programmes specify Area A, so this route does not depend on a cross-city transfer or extra nights between shows. Check the current floor plan, opening hours and admission arrangements before fixing the timetable. The published information does not establish a common badge policy or exact walking times between the relevant stands.

For the return meetings, take the marked-up material-flow drawing and ask who will supply, connect and test each part. Agree what evidence should follow: a layout review, a trial using representative carriers and parts, or a joint technical meeting with the proposed integration lead. Name the owner of each unresolved question and the next date for a response.

A stand demonstration can help explain an operation, but it does not demonstrate the complete system at your factory’s delivery rate or under a blocked-station fault. Before an order, the buyer and qualified engineering team should agree acceptance conditions covering the transfer, fault recovery and production restart, together with commissioning and support responsibilities. The useful outcome of the combined visit is a shortlist that can work from that shared scope—not a claim that neighbouring exhibitors’ equipment will automatically work together.
