ICIF China places chemical products alongside the industrial systems needed to make, handle and move them. Basic and fine chemicals, petrochemical products and new chemical materials form the materials side; process equipment, safety and environmental technology, storage, transport and laboratory systems provide the operational counterpart. The useful distinction is between purchasing a chemical grade and procuring a process or handling solution. Buyers can prepare separate questions about product identity and intended use, production requirements and the responsibilities attached to storage or shipment. The programme is therefore broader than a single-material exhibition, but a productive shortlist still needs a defined chemical or industrial task. Its specialist chemical focus should not be confused with a general factory-equipment catalogue.
