City Introduction
Xi'an is one of China's most important historic capitals and the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Roads. The Terracotta Army, the remarkably complete city wall and Tang-era landmarks such as the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda give the city a cultural identity that cannot be reduced to a stop between meetings. The Terracotta Army deserves a dedicated half day or longer; the city wall and central historic districts are easier to combine with a shorter city stay.

Essential World Heritage site
Xi'an's most internationally recognisable cultural site lies about 35 kilometres northeast of the city centre. Plan it as a dedicated half-day or longer visit rather than squeezing it between meetings.
Historic fortifications and old-city overview
The most direct introduction to Xi'an's historic urban form. A focused walk on the wall around South Gate is more realistic around business meetings than attempting the full circuit.
Tang-era Buddhist heritage
A major Tang-era landmark in a pedestrian-friendly cultural district. It can anchor a planned half day, while the surrounding public spaces also support a shorter late-afternoon visit.
Central landmark, dining and evening route
The illuminated Bell Tower gives a clear central-city reference point and combines naturally with nearby dining or a short evening walk after meetings.
