A farm-equipment proposal is rarely one machine. Feed delivery, drinking equipment, housing, ventilation and controls must fit a building and an operating plan. At an exhibition, those elements may be presented by different suppliers, each pricing its own part. The useful extension of a visit is often a project meeting where the buyer can put the proposals against the same drawing and identify what remains outside each offer.
At World Swine Industry Expo 2026, on 22–24 October in Zhengzhou, start with the equipment package you need, then reserve a separate technical discussion for the strongest supplier candidates. A city-office meeting can help clarify the layout, installation and support proposal without automatically adding a distant factory or livestock-farm visit. Conference attendance and exhibition access should be checked separately with the organiser.
Bring one building or production stage into focus
The organiser’s scope includes feeding, drinking, ventilation, temperature and environmental controls, cleaning equipment and manure-handling systems. It also includes animal-health and breeding products, but those are different purchasing and professional decisions. This itinerary is for equipment procurement, not veterinary treatment or a recommendation for a particular husbandry system.
For a new building, bring the available layout, intended animal stage and planned capacity, together with the local climate and available utilities. For a retrofit, show what is already installed and which problem the purchase should address. A supplier can respond more precisely to a defined room or operating stage than to a request for “a complete pig farm”.
Separate equipment supply from the surrounding work. Ask who is responsible for installation drawings, electrical connections, controls, commissioning and operator training. If ventilation, feeding and controls come from different suppliers, identify who will coordinate the connections. The aim is to expose the missing work early, not to assume that one attractive package includes the entire project.
A local office can be the right next stop
Zhengzhou Jinhui Agricultural S&T, trading under the GREAT FARM brand, publishes a pig-farming equipment range and a Zhengzhou headquarters address: Room 1318, Building A, Yingxie Plaza, 138 Zhengbian Road. That is a concrete enquiry lead for a buyer who wants to discuss a swine-equipment project locally.
Ask whether the team responsible for your equipment family can review the layout and prepare an itemised proposal during your visit. Confirm the reception address and the people attending. The published address is an office contact; it does not establish that fabrication, a full equipment demonstration or live animals are at that location. The company is not presented here as an audited supplier or a confirmed exhibitor at this edition.
Use the same test for other companies met at the show. An export salesperson may be able to discuss price and delivery immediately, while a project engineer needs drawings before a useful meeting. Bringing the right person into a planned office discussion may resolve more than a long drive to a factory whose team has not seen the brief.
Compare a working package, not isolated equipment prices
For feeding equipment, ask the supplier to show which components are included in the proposed path from storage to the animal area, and which items you or another contractor must provide. For drinking or environmental-control equipment, clarify the proposed connections, sensors, control functions and maintenance access. Detailed design and suitability should be assessed by the project’s competent technical team.
Ask for the quoted materials, principal dimensions and replaceable components where these affect the installation. Request an initial spare-parts list and the means of obtaining support after delivery. A local office meeting is a useful place to discuss how installation assistance would work in your country and what would be handled remotely, rather than relying on the broad phrase “overseas service”.
When comparing quotations, keep the same building and equipment boundaries. A lower equipment subtotal may omit controls, fittings, installation or training included elsewhere. Ask each supplier to mark exclusions directly on the proposal. This makes the next commercial discussion more productive without requiring the visiting buyer to make an engineering acceptance decision at the exhibition.
Allow for the airport-area venue and the city meeting
The fair is at Zhongyuan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhengzhou’s airport area. The published Jinhui office is in the city; it is a separate appointment, not a nearby booth visit. Confirm the actual route and allocate a dedicated block, including travel, before combining it with exhibition meetings or an airport departure.
The exhibition runs Thursday to Saturday. An existing supplier can receive the drawings before the trip, making a pre-show or mid-visit meeting practical if the host agrees. For a newly discovered supplier, first establish whether the team can prepare a useful response in time. A meeting after the exhibition is worth adding when the proposal or relevant demonstration will be ready, not simply because the calendar has an empty day.
The output might be a revised equipment list, a marked-up layout showing responsibilities, or an agreed plan for the supplier’s engineers to review the project after your return. An unresolved design question may need more preparation than the remaining visit allows. In that case, a scheduled remote review can be the next step while the buyer continues comparing suppliers.
Keep livestock-farm access a separate decision
An equipment office, a manufacturing workshop and an operating pig farm are different places. This guide does not recommend adding livestock-farm visits as casual sightseeing after the expo. Any such visit needs the farm’s approval and arrangements agreed with its responsible biosecurity and veterinary personnel. Follow the host’s requirements rather than assuming an exhibition badge permits access.
For an equipment purchase, drawings, relevant components, technical meetings and an agreed demonstration may answer the current questions without entering a farm. Choose the visit around the decision you need to make, then leave animal-health and farm-access decisions with the people qualified to manage them.
