IPFM 2026: Plan a Foshan Pulp Moulding Equipment Visit

Separate finished-packaging sourcing from a production-line investment, then decide whether a Foshan equipment and tooling appointment adds value.

A moulded-fibre tray can be the item you want to buy or the starting point for a factory investment. IPFM 2026, held on 28–30 October at Foshan Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, serves both conversations: its official scope includes finished products, forming equipment, moulds and downstream processing.

If you are investing in production, the Foshan stay can support a focused equipment appointment beyond the exhibition. Start with a representative package and a question that needs more than a booth discussion. Buyers seeking regular deliveries of finished packaging will usually gain more from supplier and sample follow-up than from touring a machinery factory.

Buying packaging and buying a line are different briefs

For finished products, the working brief is the packaging itself: what it holds, its dimensions, required appearance, order quantities and delivery destination. Establish whether a supplier already offers the design or whether new tooling and sample approval are needed. A moulded insert protecting an appliance and a food-service tray create different discussions about performance and documentation.

A production-line buyer needs that same product definition, then a second layer: expected demand, the intended factory, available utilities and responsibility for each production stage. IPFM’s equipment, mould and auxiliary categories allow those questions to be discussed together, but a forming-machine quotation may not include every item needed to deliver a finished pack. Ask each supplier to mark what is included, optional or supplied by someone else.

Use one pack to compare equipment offers

Bring a drawing or sample of one representative tray or insert, with the material and finish you are considering. Ask suppliers to explain which moulds and processing stages their proposal requires. Record who develops the tooling, who approves the sample and what happens when the design changes. This makes differences between offers visible before a machinery price becomes the main selection criterion.

Output and operating-cost estimates are useful only with their assumptions attached. Request the product, working pattern, utilities, labour and reject allowance behind each estimate, rather than comparing unrelated headline capacities. Your technical team should review the proposed equipment and site requirements; the exhibition discussion is a way to obtain comparable inputs, not a substitute for engineering the installation.

For packaging with food-contact or environmental claims, ask for evidence relevant to the finished article and its intended market. Fibre content alone does not establish compliance, recyclability or compostability, particularly where coatings or other materials are involved.

A named machinery appointment in Sanshui

Nanya’s company-owned pages list pulp-moulding production lines, moulds and associated equipment. Its contact information gives a Foshan address at No. 2 Jiaye Road, Leping Technology Industrial Park, Sanshui; the company’s Chinese contact page distinguishes this Foshan factory from a separate Guangzhou site. This is a specific candidate to research for an equipment discussion, not a recommendation or a promise of visitor access.

Send the representative package and your current investment question before requesting a meeting. Ask which site has the relevant machinery or tooling staff, and whether the proposed visit would involve an available machine, a sample review or a design discussion. A factory address does not mean your product can be demonstrated there on demand. Any trial needs its own agreed material, tooling, availability and acceptance conditions.

The useful result is a defined next step: a trial proposal, a revised equipment list or a quotation that identifies the remaining buyer-supplied items. If a demonstration uses a different product, record what it does and does not establish for your own pack.

Give the extension a place in the programme

Tanzhou is in Shunde, while the proposed Nanya stop is in Sanshui. Treat it as a separate cross-Foshan journey. Confirm the exact site and route with the host, and reserve time for both travel and the agreed discussion around your important 28–30 October exhibition meetings. A visit before or after the fair may work better if the required staff are occupied at the exhibition; it depends on their confirmed availability.

Use the organiser’s current visitor-registration page for show entry. Keep the supplier appointment separate from that registration, and decide whether it answers a question that would otherwise delay the purchase. If you are still choosing between buying finished packs and owning production, collect both commercial options at IPFM first. The machinery visit becomes worthwhile once you can say what decision it should change.
