For a bakery or hospitality team sourcing ingredients for operations in China, a cream, butter or chocolate sample is most useful when it can be assessed in the product you intend to serve. A Shanghai supplier meeting can connect the ingredient choice with your preparation method, pack size and purchasing needs. That is a practical extension to prepare around FHC 2027, particularly when a short fair demonstration would not answer the application question.
November 2027 remains a provisional planning month, not a confirmed set of exhibition days. Checked on 7 September 2026, the organiser’s current information still presents the 2026 edition; exact 2027 dates have not been confirmed in the sources reviewed. Prepare the supplier brief now, but confirm the 2027 dates, venue arrangements and company appointment before fixing the journey.
Choose one application to investigate
FHC’s established coverage includes dairy, bakery products, chocolate and foodservice ingredients. That provides a relevant starting point for this buying mission, without establishing which products or exhibitors will appear in 2027. Focus the meeting on an application such as a whipped filling, a laminated pastry or a chocolate coating, rather than requesting a general tour through every ingredient family.
Identify the product you currently use, the role it plays and what you want to change. Bring the information the supplier would need to understand your preparation equipment, batch size and service or display routine. Where a recipe is confidential, first agree what can be shared. A focused brief helps the supplier judge whether it can contribute useful product advice or whether the question needs testing by your own team.
Request the right Sinodis meeting
Sinodis supplies dairy and pastry ingredients to foodservice customers in China and describes technical training and recipe-development support. Its published Shanghai contact is the south building of A1, Daning Central Square, 700 Wanrong Road. This is a specific business-meeting lead, not confirmation that Sinodis will exhibit at FHC 2027 or that a kitchen session is available at that address.
Ask the sales team whether it handles your application and delivery area, and whether a relevant technical specialist can join. If a demonstration would help, agree the exact ingredient references, purpose, preparation requirements and location in advance. Do not assume the sales office, a training kitchen and a distribution centre share one visitor entrance.
The contact is in the Daning area, away from the SNIEC venue currently carried in the provisional FHC listing. Once the organiser publishes the 2027 arrangements, check the actual venue-to-meeting route and keep a separate block for the appointment. Until then, an initial remote discussion can establish the product shortlist without creating an artificial date for a post-show visit.
Compare the ingredient in the form you will buy
Use the meeting to distinguish the demonstrated reference from other products under the same brand. Ask which pack and specification would be supplied to your operation, whether that reference is locally available and how orders would reach your location. If supply is through a local distributor, identify that party before treating the Shanghai discussion as a complete delivery offer.
For the application itself, ask what the supplier can show under agreed preparation conditions and what your team still needs to test with its own equipment and workflow. A cream demonstrated in one dessert, or a chocolate used in one coating, does not establish the result in your product. Record the product reference and the conditions of the demonstration so that a later trial is based on the same material rather than a broad brand name.
Review pack size against the quantity your team uses and request the manufacturer’s storage and opened-pack instructions for the exact item. Those instructions, available shelf life at delivery and your own handling capacity belong in the purchasing decision alongside price. A larger pack should not be selected solely because its price per kilogram is lower.
The useful next step is a defined application trial and an offer for the corresponding product: reference, pack, specification, supply route and unresolved questions. This plan concerns supply to operations in China. If the intended destination is elsewhere, ask separately whether the relevant business can supply that market; the Shanghai distribution appointment does not establish an export arrangement.
