Choosing a membrane system starts with the stream to be separated, not the size of the machine on display. A process team visiting CIPM 2027 may find several plausible approaches to clarification, concentration or purification. The 69th edition runs 27–29 October 2027 at Xiamen International Expo Center, providing a useful occasion to arrange a more focused technical discussion in the city.

A meeting with Suntar’s Xiamen team is worth considering when the buyer has a defined separation question and the company can provide the relevant specialist. Aim to leave with an agreed test proposal or a clear list of information needed to prepare one. A general company presentation offers less value if the project cannot yet explain what the separation must achieve.

Take a process question, not just a capacity target

For an extract or fermentation-related project, describe which stream is involved, what useful material should be retained or recovered, and which unwanted component creates the problem. Put the step within the wider production sequence so the supplier understands what arrives upstream and what the next process requires. Your process engineer should decide which information can be shared initially and which needs confidentiality arrangements.

Suntar publishes membrane applications for herbal constituents, oral-liquid clarification and fermentation streams. These references justify asking about a relevant project; they do not establish performance on the buyer’s own material. Keep product separation distinct from pharmaceutical-water preparation and effluent treatment. They may use related technologies while answering different questions and requiring different evidence.

For a team replacing a packaging line or a standalone tablet machine, this particular extension may add little. Extra CIPM meetings with the appropriate equipment suppliers are then a better use of the schedule.

Confirm what the Xiamen team can host

Suntar lists a Xiamen contact at Suntar Technology Park, Zhongya City, Xinglin, Jimei District. Its activities also involve multiple production bases. Confirm whether the proposed meeting is at this contact location, a laboratory or another operating site; the public address alone does not establish access to testing or manufacturing.

The company’s experimental-equipment page describes a platform that can use microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration or reverse-osmosis elements for different separation trials. That is a reason to ask which screening approach suits the project, not to assume the appropriate unit and engineer will be available on the day. Ask the host to identify the useful activity, the team and the exact location before adding a visit to the itinerary.

Suntar is a candidate for an appointment, not an endorsed or audited supplier, and its participation in CIPM 2027 has not been confirmed here. The appointment can still have value independently of whether the company exhibits, provided it answers the buyer’s specific process question.

Turn the discussion into a test proposal

Send a concise, non-confidential brief before travel. Include the nature of the feed, the desired separation, the planned batch or continuous operation and the result your team would consider useful. Ask the supplier what further characterisation is needed and whether the proposed comparison should happen before, during or after the trip.

Agree how results would be measured and who would analyse the samples. Depending on the project, the buyer may need to discuss recovery of the valuable component, impurity reduction, changes during concentration, cleaning and the information needed for a later production-scale offer. These are questions for the responsible engineers; a catalogue’s nominal equipment capacity is not a substitute for material-specific assessment.

The meeting output should identify the proposed material, comparison, measurements, responsibilities, cost and reporting date. It should also say what remains outside the test. A demonstration using water or another convenient liquid can explain equipment operation, but it answers a different question from a trial using the process feed. Keep that distinction visible in the proposal and in any quotation that follows.

If samples are required, agree their identity, amount, packaging, storage, permitted shipment and receiving contact in advance. Pharmaceutical or biological material should not be carried casually as passenger luggage. Let the responsible technical and logistics teams establish the appropriate handling route before shipment.

The team’s later qualification work remains separate. A promising trial or visit does not establish GMP compliance, validate the production process or approve equipment for the intended market. Engineering and quality staff should define the evidence needed for the actual pharmaceutical project before purchase approval.

Reserve a separate appointment block

The exhibition venue is in Xiang’an, while Suntar’s listed Xiamen contact is in Jimei. These are separate stops, not neighbouring exhibition buildings. Confirm the full address and planned road transfer with the host, then reserve a dedicated block that includes the return journey or onward departure. Avoid booking an important show meeting immediately on either side of a cross-city visit.

The fair finishes on Friday, 29 October 2027. A proposed follow-up on Saturday, 30 October needs explicit confirmation that the relevant engineer and any required facility will be available. If the technical team works to a different schedule, a prepared meeting before the exhibition or a later remote session may serve the project better than an extra hotel stay.

Keep the appointment when it advances the next decision: a feasible test plan, an identified data gap or a more usable quotation. If the useful work must happen at a distant production base, or cannot be prepared for the visit, scope that work separately. A local meeting earns its place through the question it resolves, not the number of facilities it adds to the trip.
