Choosing a CNC machine also means deciding who will program it, recover from a stoppage and keep it working after delivery. CIMT 2027 offers a chance to discuss both machines and control systems in Beijing, 19–24 April 2027. For a buyer considering a FANUC-equipped machine, an additional conversation with Beijing FANUC about training and support can turn a promising specification into a more realistic implementation plan.
Make that appointment once the controller and remaining skills questions are clear. It complements the machine builder’s proposal by identifying the training and support your team will need to use the selected configuration.
Take the machine builder’s configuration to the control specialist
CIMT’s scope includes machine tools, CNC systems, tooling, automation and measurement. A familiar control brand on a machine does not tell you the exact installed system, options or the builder’s application software. Ask the builder to identify these before arranging a separate control discussion.
Bring the intended operations and the experience of the people who will use the machine. Separate a question about programming or fault diagnosis from one about the machine’s cutting performance, fixture or acceptance test. The former may benefit from a control specialist; the latter still needs the machine builder and your own production team.
This division matters commercially. Training included in a machine quotation may address basic operation while your staff also need programming or maintenance skills. Establish what the builder delivers, what a separate provider would supply and whether either requires the other to attend.
Ask for the right training route, not just a course title
Beijing FANUC’s official site describes technical training and manufacturing-skills services. Use its published contact route to ask about your specific controller, staff roles, delivery language and preferred dates. Operators, programmers and maintenance personnel need different learning outcomes; state which person must be able to do what after training.
The company lists two Beijing campuses in Haidian: Daoxianghu at Courtyard 2, Yinhua Road, and Shangdi at 9 Xinxi Road. Confirm the actual meeting campus and host. Public contact information is not a booked course or permission to enter production areas, and no April 2027 schedule is assumed here.
For an exported machine, discuss who will provide training, spare parts and technical support in the destination country. Beijing FANUC’s China service information does not establish equivalent coverage abroad. Ask the machine builder and the relevant destination support organisation to confirm their respective responsibilities, including any differences between a controller issue and a machine-level fault.
Protect the two-venue CIMT programme
CIMT 2027 uses Capital International Exhibition & Convention Center and China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi). The organiser describes them as connected and jointly operated, but they remain two distinct venues. Group appointments by the venue and hall shown in the current exhibitor information; keep transfer time between them in the schedule.
After the key builder meetings, consolidate the controller specification and unresolved training questions into one handover. Reserve a separate confirmed slot for the Haidian discussion. Check the route and traffic from your actual departure point to the agreed campus; if the transfer would displace important show appointments, propose an online meeting or an agreed location near the exhibition.
A needs discussion may fit the business trip; a full training course may require another date, online study or delivery closer to the buyer’s plant. If the builder already provides adequate training and destination support, the extra appointment may add little. If the controller choice is still undecided, continue the machine comparison before narrowing the trip around one control supplier.
