CIDPEX 2027: Planning a Hygiene Nonwoven Supplier Visit in Nanjing

Turn hygiene-material samples into a focused Nanjing supplier meeting, with the right product grade, roll specification and converting-trial questions.

A soft swatch is a useful starting point at CIDPEX 2027, but a product developer still has to decide where that material belongs in a diaper, pad or other hygiene article. The surface that feels attractive by hand must also fit the product design, the converting line and the purchasing specification. Nanjing offers a way to take that conversation beyond the sample rack.

For a hygiene-material development or manufacturing team, KSC JinQiChang’s Jiangning Binjiang base is a supplier-visit candidate for through-air-bonded nonwovens. Its company information confirms both that product focus and a Nanjing research-and-production presence. Arrange a visit around a specific material question and a proposed trial, rather than a general factory introduction. Buyers seeking boxed tissue for resale or a complete converting machine have a different task and may gain more from staying with their exhibition shortlist.

Choose the layer before choosing the sample

CIDPEX links finished tissue and disposable hygiene products with materials and production equipment. Its 2027 exhibition takes place on 15–17 April at Nanjing International Expo Center. The wider 13–17 April programme includes the preceding forum, so those earlier dates should not be mistaken for extra exhibition days. Organiser announcement and official 2027 poster.

The KSC route concerns a nonwoven input, not a finished hygiene range. Its company introduction describes through-air-bonded hygiene materials and ultrasonic embossing equipment. Use that evidence to request a relevant material discussion; it does not tell you which grade suits a particular skin-contact layer, fluid-management function or finished-product claim. KSC’s company and production-base information.

Bring a drawing or non-confidential description showing the intended layer and its role. If you are replacing a material, explain what needs to change: feel, appearance, handling on the line or a problem identified by your own testing. A brand that outsources manufacturing should involve its converter in this brief. Otherwise the brand may select a pleasing sample without knowing whether its manufacturer can use the proposed roll.

Make the meeting about identifiable grades and usable rolls

Ask the supplier to identify each candidate swatch by product grade and to provide the corresponding specification. Useful questions include fibre composition, basis weight, thickness, surface treatment, embossing and available roll widths. These are points to clarify for the proposed material, not a claim that KSC offers every combination or that the same specification applies across its range.

Keep the reference sample and the candidate side by side, with the same intended application attached to both. Ask the technical contact which published or agreed tests distinguish the grades, what conditions those results use, and what remains for your team to evaluate in the assembled product. A visible texture or a softer hand feel alone cannot establish liquid-handling performance, skin compatibility or the finished article’s suitability.

Discuss roll presentation with the person who will run the trial: width, core, winding direction, roll diameter, splice information and labelling. Agree which details matter to your equipment before requesting material. This gives a supplier session a clear commercial output—a small, traceable selection that can be trialled—rather than another bag of unlabelled samples.

KSC is a company to investigate, not an endorsed or audited supplier. Its website is evidence for contacting it; this article does not claim confirmed participation in CIDPEX 2027. The company’s history also describes production in Guangdong, so the order’s actual manufacturing site remains part of the discussion. Company history and production development.

Fit Jiangning into the forum and exhibition schedule

KSC’s official contact page gives 3600 Ningwu Avenue, Binjiang Development Zone, Jiangning District, Nanjing. Ask whether the proposed material is made at that base, who will host the meeting and which production or testing areas can be shown. An office conversation, a sample review and a production walkthrough are different appointments; the company needs to confirm the one you require. Official KSC contact details.

If you are attending the exhibition without the forum, Wednesday 14 April is a possible day to request a pre-show material meeting. You can then take the resulting questions into the exhibition. For forum participants, keep that day available for the programme and request a separately confirmed weekday appointment after the show if the technical agenda warrants the extra stay. The official poster places the forum on 13–14 April at Nanjing International Youth Convention Center, separately from the exhibition at Nanjing International Expo Center. Official date-and-venue poster.

Treat Jiangning Binjiang as a dedicated half-day visit with transfers, not a brief break between stands. Check the journey from your actual hotel and the company’s confirmed entrance before fixing transport. Staying in the Nanjing area is the practical value of this route; adding the Guangdong production base would be a separate business trip, not a nearby extension.

Agree what the converting trial must answer

An approved visit can help the buyer see how the supplier explains and identifies its materials. The decisive follow-up for a manufacturing project is a trial that your converter can actually run. Agree the candidate grade, test-roll quantity and dimensions, the site supplying it, the documents that accompany it and the date by which your team will report the results.

Have your production and product-development colleagues define the questions before the roll ships. Will the material run under the intended converting conditions? Does the assembled article meet your agreed product requirements? Which observed differences would justify a change of material or a revised trial? The answer belongs to a documented evaluation of your product and process, not to a supplier’s generic description of softness or quality.

Compare costs using the same grade, roll presentation and delivery assumptions. If a candidate requires different handling, extra trial work or a change elsewhere in the product, include that in the buying decision instead of comparing the material price alone. Request the supply terms and any proposed specification-change process alongside the samples.

When the buyer has no defined layer, no converter involved or no capacity to evaluate the sample, a remote technical call and a documented sample request can be the better next step. The visit earns its place when it resolves a question that matters to the next manufacturing trial.
