Distributors rarely sell horsepower in isolation. A customer wants a tractor that can pull the selected implement, work between the crop rows and return to service when a part needs replacing. CIAME 2026 is useful for bringing those connected purchases into the same conversation.
Use the Tianjin exhibition to shortlist tractors and the implements they will operate. A prearranged discussion with Tianjin Tractor Manufacturing, the company behind Tiantuo/Tieniu products, can then clarify the exact combination and the support needed for your market. Plan it as a product meeting first; confirm a separate factory visit only if the company offers relevant access.
Begin with the work the tractor will do
CIAME runs 26–28 October 2026 at National Convention and Exhibition Center, Tianjin. Its agricultural-machinery scope spans tractors, implements, harvesting and supporting equipment, allowing a buyer to discuss the machine and the farming task together. Use the organiser’s official site for current visit arrangements.
Before the show, list the main jobs, crop spacing, operating terrain and implements already owned or being considered. At a tractor stand, ask for the exact configuration proposed for those jobs. At the implement stand, ask what tractor connections and operating requirements are needed. Carry the two answers together rather than comparing an engine-power figure against a brochure photograph.
For a distributor building a range, separate the entry model from optional equipment. A quoted tractor with a different transmission, tyre arrangement or hydraulic specification may serve a different customer even when the model name looks familiar.
Arrange the right Tiantuo meeting location
Tianjin Tractor Manufacturing’s Chinese site presents Tieniu wheeled tractors, harvesting machinery and implements. Its contact page lists an overseas-sales contact and the headquarters at 3 Jingxiang Road, Beichen Science and Technology Park, Tianjin.
There is an important location distinction: the company’s linked English site lists a Baodi address, while the Chinese contact page also names a separate Weifang branch. Ask the company where the relevant team and shortlisted models will actually be available. The Beichen headquarters is a meeting candidate, not proof that a requested tractor can be inspected there.
Once the appointment is accepted, check the route from the Jinnan exhibition area to the confirmed location and allow a separate half-day for a Beichen meeting. A different factory address requires its own travel assessment. If the team can answer the questions at CIAME, retain that simpler option. These are possible appointments, not endorsements, confirmed exhibitor claims or public factory tours.
Put tractor, implement and support in one offer
Use the meeting to ask the supplier to identify the tractor configuration that matches the intended implement. Discuss power take-off speed, hydraulic connections and requirements, hitch arrangement, tyres and track width as applicable. The supplier and your machinery specialist should confirm compatibility; this article does not establish that any particular pairing is suitable.
Ask for a configuration sheet that distinguishes standard equipment from paid options, alongside the implement specification. If a demonstration is possible, agree what pairing will be shown and what it can demonstrate. A static inspection may clarify controls or attachment points, while field performance needs an appropriate later test under the conditions that matter to the buyer.
For a dealer order, add practical support questions to the same discussion: how to identify replacement parts, which manuals and operator guidance accompany the model, and who handles a service enquiry from the destination country. Confirm the commercial and regulatory availability of the exact version for that market rather than treating the domestic catalogue as an export offer.
The useful result is a matched proposal with the unresolved checks clearly assigned. A buyer looking only for grain-drying equipment, or a distributor whose required tractor version is unavailable, can use the remaining CIAME time more productively with a different specialist.
