CIAAF 2027: Should Your Aftermarket Buying Trip Continue to CAPAFAIR?

Assess a Zhengzhou-to-Ningbo itinerary for buyers sourcing both automotive accessories and replacement parts, with a full transfer day between fairs.

Two aftermarket fairs fit into the same late-June calendar: CIAAF in Zhengzhou finishes on 28 June 2027, and CAPAFAIR opens in Ningbo on 30 June. That leaves one clear day between them. For an importer supplying both accessory retailers and repair workshops, the sequence could support two different purchasing lists within one China visit. For a buyer focused on one narrow product range, it may simply repeat meetings at the cost of another city.

Continue from CIAAF 2027 to CAPAFAIR 2027 when you have a distinct replacement-parts or workshop-equipment shortlist for Ningbo as well as the accessory, film, electronics or detailing work planned in Zhengzhou. Treat 29 June as a transfer day. If the same suppliers and products would dominate both appointments lists, use the extra time to finish your CIAAF follow-up instead.

Different emphasis, with real overlap

CIAAF’s visitor programme highlights interior products, smart electronics, car care, modification and films. That is useful for an importer building an accessory range or a service business considering products that must be fitted or applied. A promising display needs to become a discussion about vehicle application, installation, packaging and after-sales support.

CAPAFAIR’s published scope includes engine, chassis, braking and other replacement components, as well as electrical products, workshop equipment and accessories. Its organiser explicitly addresses overseas sourcing. For a buyer serving both retail and repair channels, those component families can provide the extra reason to travel to Ningbo.

This is an emphasis, not a clean division between “accessories in Zhengzhou” and “parts in Ningbo”. Both fairs cover more than those labels. Check the actual product and exhibitor lists against your requirements before booking two cities. Neither an export-oriented description nor a broad category list establishes that every exhibitor can supply your vehicle applications or market.

Give each city its own purchasing list

At CIAAF, organise accessory and installation meetings around the way the product will be sold. A retailer buying packaged floor mats has different questions from a workshop buying a film system with application tools and training. State the vehicle range, whether the product is model-specific and what the installer or customer receives in the box.

For electronics, clarify the intended vehicle models and the supporting harnesses or interfaces being proposed. For films and detailing products, ask what samples, application demonstrations and technical documentation the supplier can provide. Keep these as supplier questions rather than assuming that a booth demonstration proves suitability for every vehicle or destination market.

For Ningbo, prepare the part references and vehicle applications that are still missing from your purchasing programme. Where relevant, include model years, dimensions or the identification information needed to avoid confusing similar components. Ask prospective suppliers which references they make or source, what can be sampled and how they handle mixed orders and replenishment.

The strongest reason for attending both fairs is a concrete set of different meetings. If your work is entirely car film, upholstery or detailing, CAPAFAIR’s wider component offer may add little. If you buy only mechanical replacement parts, you may prefer to concentrate on Ningbo rather than constructing an accessory itinerary around CIAAF.

A seven-day exhibition window, not a local transfer

Date Place and proposed use
26–28 June, Saturday–Monday CIAAF at the airport-area Zhongyuan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhengzhou. Hold the accessory and installation meetings.
29 June, Tuesday Travel to Ningbo and review the second shortlist. Keep supplier appointments off this day until transport is confirmed.
30 June–2 July, Wednesday–Friday CAPAFAIR at Ningbo International Conference & Exhibition Center. Focus on the additional parts and equipment requirements.

Zhengzhou and Ningbo are separate intercity destinations. Choose air or rail after checking the available timetable, station or airport transfers and hotel locations. This guide assumes a dedicated travel day; it does not promise a direct flight, a particular train or a fixed journey time for 2027.

Allow separately for your arrival in China and departure home. Attending the full published window already uses seven calendar days from the first fair’s opening to the second fair’s close. You can shorten attendance around confirmed meetings, but the transfer and preparation time still belong in the decision.

CIAAF uses the airport-area Zhongyuan venue, not the older city-centre convention venue. CAPAFAIR’s visitor page identifies 181 Huizhan Road, Yinzhou, Ningbo. Check accommodation against those actual destinations. CAPAFAIR currently publishes a 14:00 close on 2 July, so place important return meetings before that afternoon and reconfirm the hours before travel.

Decide on Ningbo before the itinerary becomes expensive

Send the second-city enquiries early enough to receive useful replies. Ask for the relevant product references and a meeting with the person who handles your export market. If the replies remain generic, keep the Ningbo leg flexible rather than paying for another city on the strength of a large exhibition list.

After CIAAF, separate the suppliers ready for sample follow-up from those still needing application information. Carry that work into Ningbo where it helps, but maintain separate quotations and responsibilities. Buying an accessory from one exhibitor and a replacement component from another does not turn them into a single supported product package.

For a buyer with two genuine purchasing lists, the combination can make good use of a week in China. For everyone else, a well-finished CIAAF visit—samples identified, installation questions answered and the next offer agreed—can be the more productive trip.
