ChinaReplas 2026: A Dongguan Factory Visit for Recycling Equipment

Use a SHINI Dalang appointment to assess production-scrap granulation after ChinaReplas, with a defined material stream and an agreed machine discussion.

A plastics converter visiting ChinaReplas 2026 may have two different purchases in mind: recycled resin for a finished product, and equipment to recover scrap from its own production. The exhibition brings those discussions together on 22–23 September 2026 in Hall 3 of the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center, Dongguan. The separate conference on 21 September is not an additional exhibition day. Current organiser announcement.

For the second purchasing job, a local equipment appointment can add something tangible: a closer assessment of how the buyer’s sprues, rejected mouldings or other identified scrap would be fed, reduced in size and collected. SHINI’s officially listed factory in Dalang is a research candidate for that discussion. Add the visit when the company can arrange a relevant machine and technical contact; keep recycled-pellet purchasing with the material suppliers when equipment is not part of the decision.

Start with the scrap, then choose the equipment conversation

ChinaReplas covers recycled materials as well as recovery and processing equipment. Its breadth makes it useful for discovering where one supplier’s offer ends and another process begins. A granulator discussion addresses size reduction; it does not, by itself, answer the requirements of a complete washing, sorting or pelletising line. Buyers developing such a line should use the exhibition to identify the suppliers responsible for those additional steps. Official exhibition site.

For a converter recovering its own production scrap, define the stream before comparing machines. Send photographs and dimensions of the parts to be processed, identify the polymer and any fillers, and explain how the scrap is currently separated. Distinguish clean sprues from rejected assemblies containing inserts, labels or mixed materials. Ask the equipment supplier which material it can evaluate and what preparation is required; an attractive machine demonstration using a different feedstock may leave the actual purchasing question untouched.

Then explain where the recovered material would go. Reuse beside a moulding machine and collection in a central area create different feeding, space and handling questions. Ask suppliers to explain their proposed machine position and what happens between scrap collection and the next production step. SHINI’s published range includes screenless and low-speed granulators, central granulators, shredders and conveyors, providing concrete equipment families to discuss rather than a single generic recycling label. Use the exhibition meetings to build a small equipment shortlist against this same material description. Keep the proposal, expected feed arrangement and unresolved technical question together. Participation in the exhibition is a starting point for discussion, not evidence that a supplier has processed the buyer’s exact material successfully; the current exhibitor information should be checked when booking meetings.

Ask what the Dalang appointment can demonstrate

SHINI’s own directory identifies Shini Plastics Technologies (Dongguan), Inc. at Shini Technology Park, Dalang, Dongguan, as its South China factory. Contact that location before travelling and describe the scrap-recovery task. This is an appointment candidate, not an endorsement, a confirmed ChinaReplas exhibitor or an assurance of public factory access. Official SHINI locations.

Ask whether the relevant machine can be seen and whether the appropriate technical colleague can review the material. If a trial is possible, agree beforehand on material acceptance, sample quantity, the machine configuration and the outputs to be recorded. Arrange sample delivery through an agreed lawful route; avoid arriving with unannounced waste material and expecting an immediate test.

A useful trial should answer a question that affects the purchase. For example, can the proposed feeding arrangement handle the buyer’s actual rejected part, and what size distribution and fines remain in the collected output? Ask to record the feed material, screen or cutting configuration where applicable, operating conditions and observed output together. Throughput quoted for another polymer or part shape is a reason to ask for clarification, not a directly comparable result.

Where frequent material changes are part of the factory routine, ask the supplier to explain cleaning access and changeover on the proposed machine. Where scrap must return to a production line, review the collection and conveying arrangement with the person responsible for that line. These are more useful reasons for being on site than a general tour of equipment unrelated to the project.

The visit can support an equipment choice, but reuse in a finished product still needs the buyer’s own process and quality evaluation. Preserve a labelled sample and the trial notes for that next step. The production or quality team should determine whether the recovered material can be used for the intended application and under what conditions; buying a granulator does not establish the acceptability of the resulting product.

Keep Houjie and Dalang as separate appointments

Protect 22–23 September for the exhibition meetings that will shape the shortlist. If the SHINI discussion depends on those results, propose a separate appointment on 24 September, subject to the company’s confirmation. That is a suggested travel plan, not an advertised factory-visit programme. Buyers who already have a defined machine enquiry can request a different date around their existing itinerary.

The show is in Houjie and the factory directory points to Dalang, so reserve a distinct travel and meeting block rather than treating the factory as an exhibition-hall stop. Confirm the meeting entrance, actual road transfer and return arrangements before fixing other appointments. Avoid planning a flight immediately after a trial whose duration has not been agreed.

An extra day earns its place when the required machine, technical participant and material discussion are all available. If the company can offer only a general introduction, request a remote technical meeting and follow up on the most relevant equipment leads from the show. For buyers purchasing recycled pellets without changing their production equipment, material samples and application testing are usually the more direct next step.
