A distributor can leave CHINA CYCLE 2027 with several attractive bicycles and still lack a coherent range. Different frame sizes, component choices and after-sales arrangements can make similar-looking models quite different offers. The Shanghai fair runs 5–8 May 2027 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), bringing complete bicycles and electric-assist products together with parts and cycling equipment.
Use the halls to compare the range, then add a Shanghai company meeting when the remaining decision concerns product configuration or a possible distribution relationship. Phoenix/FNIX provides one verifiable local contact for that conversation, with the proposed meeting focused on products and commercial arrangements.
Decide what the assembled bicycle must deliver
For a complete-bike programme, carry a short range brief: intended rider, use, price position, size coverage and destination market. Compare the proposed component specification alongside the displayed model. A change in brakes, gearing or electric-assist system should remain visible in the quotation, rather than disappearing behind an unchanged model name.
Keep component-only sourcing separate. If the open question is a replacement part or compatibility with your existing assembly, a second discussion with the relevant exhibitor may be more useful than travelling to a complete-bike company’s office. For electric-assist products, ask which technical documents correspond to the exact configuration being offered; destination-market suitability needs its own competent review.
A Phoenix/FNIX meeting has a specific purpose
Phoenix’s official group pages identify its bicycle and electric-cycle businesses. The FNIX portfolio includes road, gravel, mountain, folding and electric-assist bicycles. The published contact address is Building 6, Phoenix Centre, 518 Fuquan North Road, Changning, Shanghai.
This makes the company a research candidate for a product-range or distributor discussion, not an endorsed supplier or a confirmed 2027 exhibitor. Contact the company before travelling and ask it to identify the person responsible for your product and destination market. Confirm whether sample models, commercial terms and the relevant after-sales contact can be discussed at that address.
For a branded range, clarify territory, permitted sales channels and access to replacement parts. For a private-label project, first establish whether the company offers that arrangement at all. A branded catalogue does not establish an OEM offer, and an office appointment does not establish permission to inspect production.
Leave the halls with a meeting worth making
Use the first part of the show for comparisons and scheduled exhibitor conversations. Consolidate the strongest options into a model-by-model list before confirming an outside appointment. Send the company the two or three issues that could change your decision, along with the samples or documents you expect to review.
SNIEC is in Pudong and the published Phoenix contact is in Changning. Reserve a separate half-day instead of inserting the visit between hall meetings. Check the actual route and traffic with the host; if the transfer would squeeze out essential range comparisons, move the discussion online or to a mutually agreed location near the show. No fixed journey time or public visiting hours are assumed here.
The extra stop earns its place when it resolves range choices, commercial responsibility or after-sales arrangements. If your shortlist remains unsettled, retain the time at the show. If the outstanding issue concerns production at a particular plant, obtain that plant’s address and a separate agreed visit scope before extending the trip.
