CACLP 2027: Planning an IVD Supplier Visit in Nanjing

Add a focused technical meeting to CACLP to discuss an analyser and reagent shortlist, distributor training and the support your customers will need.

A distributor considering a new analyser line needs more than a persuasive demonstration. The instrument will arrive together with questions about reagent ordering, operator training and who answers the first service call. CACLP 2027, held on 19–21 March 2027 at Nanjing International Expo Center, puts those purchasing decisions in a city where a supplier meeting can continue beyond the stand.

For a team already shortlisting instrument-and-reagent systems, consider a separate Nanjing technical appointment with Getein Biotech. Its published portfolio and distributor-training offer make it a relevant contact candidate. The extra time is worthwhile when the supplier can bring the right technical colleague and the buyer can identify which product and support questions need a demonstration. An introductory sales conversation alone is usually easier to handle during the exhibition or online.

Match the appointment to the part of CACLP you are buying from

CACLP’s announced scope runs from finished laboratory instruments and reagents through raw materials, components, consumables and manufacturing equipment. A distributor selecting a system for its customers is therefore making a different trip from an IVD manufacturer sourcing an enzyme or a production component. The supplier extension here serves the former: narrowing a finished-product offer and understanding how it will be supported. Official CACLP 2027 announcement.

Getein describes IVD instruments and reagents across point-of-care testing, clinical chemistry, chemiluminescence and other platforms; its current catalogue also has a fluorescence immunoassay family. That breadth is a reason to specify the line you want to discuss, not to request a tour of everything. Start with your intended customers, their testing setting, the assays they need and the model you are considering. Company profile, fluorescence immunoassay catalogue.

For an upstream reagent-development project, a different supplier and research colleague may be more appropriate. For a distributor still discovering its target segment, keep the exhibition time available for comparing offers before adding a company visit. Getein is a research candidate, not an endorsement or an audited supplier, and this route does not assume it is a confirmed CACLP 2027 exhibitor.

Ask for the technical colleague, not just a reception slot

Getein’s training page describes sessions for distributors and identifies mechanical components, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting and calibration among the topics. It also provides a training-enquiry form. This is useful evidence for requesting a technical session, although it does not establish a course date or availability during CACLP. Distributor-training information.

Ask which of those topics can be demonstrated for your proposed model and whether an application or service specialist can attend. Bring your own technical colleague if that person will support the product after import. A commercial buyer can compare prices; the future service contact needs to understand the tasks the supplier expects the distributor to perform and which problems must be escalated.

Send a short agenda before anyone reserves the day: the instrument and reagent references under discussion, the intended market, a realistic customer workload and the questions left after reading the product documents. Request the current instructions and ask what demonstration materials the host can provide. This is a planning request, not permission to transport patient specimens or operate a clinical workflow during a visitor meeting.

Use a working day and confirm which Nanjing site will host you

The exhibition runs from Friday to Sunday. Monday 22 March is a useful date to propose when the meeting should address questions gathered at CACLP. If you already have a well-developed shortlist, Thursday 18 March could let the technical discussion sharpen the questions you take to competing suppliers. Both are appointment suggestions, subject to the company’s confirmation.

The current English contact page lists No. 9 Bofu Road, Luhe District, Nanjing, with separate sales and after-sales contacts. A Jiangbei government report also describes a different Getein instrument-and-reagent project at 1 Qiancheng Avenue; that report concerns a 2024 construction milestone and anticipated completion, not present-day visitor reception. Send the company your proposed agenda and request the exact meeting address and site entrance. Official contact details, Jiangbei project report.

Treat this as a dedicated appointment in the northern part of Nanjing, not a walk-out from the exhibition halls. Reserve a half-day for the meeting and transfers, check the route from your actual hotel once the address is agreed, and keep a buffer before any departing train or flight. A published company address does not confirm access to production areas. If a factory walkthrough would answer a specific purchasing question, request it separately and establish which operations, if any, can be shown.

Leave with a product-and-support plan you can test

Use the appointment to join up three pieces of the offer: the exact analyser configuration, the reagents and consumables it will use, and the support expected from each party. Ask for a written list of the items included in the quotation, the replenishment terms and the training proposed for your team. For each relevant reagent, request the manufacturer’s current storage and shelf-life information rather than assuming the same handling across the entire catalogue.

Then agree what your team needs to evaluate at home. The useful output is a defined sample or demonstration programme, named technical contacts, and a list of outstanding documents and questions. If an observed workflow raises a concern about operator workload, calibration or troubleshooting, carry that specific concern into the evaluation instead of relying on a general impression that the system is easy to use.

Clinical suitability and permission to supply the product in your destination market require assessment by the appropriately qualified people using the exact product documentation. A sales demonstration, training meeting or factory visit does not establish either. Keep those decisions separate from the commercial judgement about whether the supplier merits further evaluation.

If the proposed host cannot arrange a model-specific session or the responsible technical staff are unavailable, request a remote meeting after CACLP and use the travel day elsewhere in your business schedule. A shorter trip with a clear follow-up assignment is more useful than an extra day that repeats the catalogue presentation.
